Super Tough!: IGN's List of Characters That Comic Book Movies Got Wrong
Yo, cuzzos! I came across this list of characters that the comic book films just got terribly wrong and I totally agree with all of them! The Venom character was horrible in Spiderman 3 and Cyclops was definitely killed off screen like a no name character in X3. Plus there are a few jabs at Green Lantern which has been getting not so good reviews, but I still wanna see it. I must say, as the days go on, I'm getting more and more worried about it... but yea peep the full list here!!

Comic Book Character of the Week: Venom
An alien symbiote with a thirst for violence and flesh, Venom started out as a living costume for Spider-Man. The creature is a sentient alien with a gooey, almost liquid-like form. It requires a host, usually human, to bond around for its survival. In return the Venom creature gives its host enhanced powers. Created by David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane, Venom made his first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man Issue #299 in 1988. When Spidey rejected Venom’s attempts for control, he latched onto the Daily Bugle’s Eddie Brock, spawning a decades-long quest for vengeance. Arguably Spider-Man’s biggest nemesis, Venom is the comic book equivalent of a movie boogeyman like Freddy Krueger – he’s meant to be terrifying and villainous, but readers
thought he was so cool that eventually the symbiote became less obviously evil (he always tries never to hurt bystanders), appearing in his own title. In fact, he was so neutered that not only did he occasionally team up with Spider-Man, but Marvel created an even more evil symbiote, the mass murderer, Carnage, in order to mitigate Venom’s crimes. Currently, the symbiote is not bonded with Brock, but that remains his most famous persona. He made his on screen debut in Spiderman 3 in 2007 (for 15 minutes) and there is a Venom spinoff movie in the works.Thursday, June 4, 2009
E3 2009 Update: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Aiight, cuzzo. So today is the last day of E3 2009 and they unveiled some crazy footage. They showed a demo for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and it looks redic!! The graphics are outta control and the gameplay is intricate as hell. It looks better than the first one and that one was really fun. I played that jawn for like a week straight. In this one you can fuse powers, customize your characters, downloadable characters, online co-op, you can play as Venom, Hulk and Green Goblin (taking it back to Marvel vs. Capcom) and its based on the Marvel Secret War and Civil War storyline so theres even hero-on-hero combat!! Hopefully this new one will be as tough as it looks. Either way I'll definitely cop up on this one. Its coming out Fall 2009. Damn E3 was super tough this year.
