Comic-Con 2011: WB's Collectible Bag Designs
Details:
- More than 130,000 of the signature, oversized (24"x28") bags — dubbed the Con's "ubiquitous accessory" by Entertainment Weekly — have been produced, and every fan attending Comic-Con will receive one upon checking in throughout the five days of the convention, including Preview Night.
- For the first time, the 2011 edition of the bag converts into a backpack, making it as cool as ever — and even more functional! (And, yes, the protective poster tube remains intact.)
- Designed by Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing, each double-sided bag features all-new Comic-Con 2011 official artwork on one side, with the other side featuring a design highlighting one of 10 different titles, including live- action and animated television series, video games and comic books from Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment.
Created annually since 2006 by the Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing unit specifically for Comic-Con, the highly sought-after totes provide devoted fans with a handy carrying case for all the merchandise they take away from the Con -- and serve as mobile billboards for a selection of the Studio's key Comic-Con titles.

New Looney Tunes 3D Clip
This is a clip from the first short that's been released called Coyote Falls, which showed before Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, which I'm sure many of you didn't rush to go out and see. There are two more shorts being released this year, Fur of the flying is attached to Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, and Rabid Rider will play before that awful looking Yogi Bear movie.

Official Plot for The Green Lantern
'Bringing the enduringly popular superhero to the big screen for the first time, “Green Lantern” stars Ryan Reynolds (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine”) in the title role, under the direction of Martin Campbell (“Casino Royale”).
In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.
Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.
Campbell directs “Green Lantern” from a screenplay by Greg Berlanti & Michael Green & Marc Guggenheim and Michael Goldenberg, story by Greg Berlanti & Michael Green & Marc Guggenheim, based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics.
The film also stars Blake Lively (upcoming “The Town,” TV’s “Gossip Girl”) as the spirited Carol Ferris, a test pilot and the heir apparent to her father’s aviation company; Peter Sarsgaard (“An Education,” “Flightplan”) as scientist Dr. Hector Hammond; Mark Strong (“Sherlock Holmes”) as Sinestro, Jordan’s powerful mentor in the Green Lantern Corps; Jay O. Sanders (“Revolutionary Road”) as Carl Ferris, Carol’s aircraft designer dad; Temuera Morrison (“Star Wars” Episodes II and III) as Abin Sur, Jordan’s alien predecessor; Taika Waititi (TV’s “The Flight of the Conchords”) as flight navigator Tom Kalmaku, Hal’s good friend and confidante; Academy Award® nominee Angela Bassett (“What’s Love Got to Do with It”) as enigmatic government scientist Amanda Waller; and Academy Award® winner Tim Robbins (“Mystic River”) as Hector’s influential father, Senator Robert Hammond.
The film is being produced by Donald De Line (“The Italian Job”) and Greg Berlanti (upcoming “Life As We Know It”). Herbert W. Gains and Andrew Haas serve as executive producers. Geoff Johns and Lucienne Papon are co-producing.
The film’s behind-the-scenes creative team is led by a number of Academy Award® winners, including director of photography Dion Beebe (“Memoirs of a Geisha”), production designer Grant Major (“The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King”), and costume designer Ngila Dickson (“The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King”), as well as Oscar®-nominated editor and longtime Campbell collaborator, Stuart Baird (“Gorillas in the Mist,” “Superman”). The film’s visual effects are being overseen by Oscar®-nominee Kent Houston (“The Adventures of Baron Von Munchausen,” “Casino Royale”).
The film is currently scheduled for release in 3D and 2D on June 17, 2011. “Green Lantern” will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. '

Green Lantern Updates
Aiight, cuzzo. The Green Lantern movie starring Ryan Reynolds has run into its first set of problems. The movie has a pretty huge budget of about 150 million and they were scheduled to start shooting in Australia in January, but due to the inflation and economic problems in Australia, shooting there would really blow through production costs. So, what this means is Warner Bros. has two options: 1. Shoot in Australia anyway and make cutbacks on other parts of the production like CGI for instance. I'm sure Australia is a beautiful place and all but do we want Warner Bros' next superhero movie to look cheap visually like GI Joe or visually stunning like Transformers?
Or 2. They could film somewhere else and use that huge budget to turn the Green Lantern franchise into a success like The Dark Knight. I'm sure Warner Bros. will make the right choice. What do y'all think? That's about but I will be following production closely so stay up.

The Losers
Aiight, cuz. Warner Bothers is currently making a film called The Losers based on a popular DC Comics title. Its about a U.S. Special Ops unit sent into the jungle on a search and destroy mission. It stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen), Columbus Short (Stomp the Yard), Chris Evans (Push), Idris Elba (The Wire), and Zoe Saldana (Star Trek) to name a few. If this amazing cast isn't enough, its being directed by Sylvain White (Stomp the Yard), produced by Joel Silver (The Matrix trilogy) and it is screen written by Akiva Goldman (I Am Legend).
With a team of this magnitude and cool sounding plot like this, I'll be following this film very closely. Its shooting entirely in Puerto Rico and it comes out April, 9th 2010. Check out the Comic-Con poster. Its sick. Stay up.

DC Movie Updates
In other DC news, The Hollywood Reporter also reported that the dispute over the rights of the Superman franchise was won by DC Comics and Warner Brothers, meaning that the heir of the creators will receive revenue from Superman Returns released in 2006. Also the judge gave Warner Brothers until 2013 to release another Superman film or their copyright expires and the rights of Superman goes to the heirs. This means when the copyright expires in 2013, Superman will basically be up for grabs. Superman can possibly become a Marvel character. The thing is, there is no work being done on another movie right now so we could see Superman on the Marvel brand in 5 years. I have to admit, that would be pretty sick. What do y'all think? Do you Marvel could do a better job with Superman franchise? Check out the full article. [Superman Trial] What if?
