Shrek Forever After Poster and Teaser Trailer

Yo, cuzzos. Here's the official trailer for Shrek Forever After in 3D starring Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz. This is supposedly the last film of the series and it looks pretty funny. As usual the Dreamworks animation is very high quality so visually the movie looks great.

Shrek makes a deal with Rumplestiltskin to get his mojo back, which results in a bizarro version of the land of Far Far Away where Shrek never existed. Donkey doesn’t know him, and Puss in Boots is fat and lazy.

Peep the trailer and the movie when it comes out May 21, 2010. Thats about it for now but stay up.

Ironman 2 Trailer

Hiatus

Yo, cuzzos. Unfortunately since, I've started classes, I haven't had as much time to do posts. I've tried to give you guys a few posts but the work is just not allowing me to continue giving you quality posts so with that being said, I have to take a break from Super Hadouken. I'm not sure how long this break will be but I promise I will be back. Thanks to all the loyal fans and stay up. This will not be forever. Dueces (for now).

Percy Jackson and The Olympians: Lightning Thief Trailer

Aiight, cuzzo. Here is the new trailer for Percy Jackson and The Olympians: Lightning Thief starring Rosario Dawson, Uma Thurman and Logan Lerman and I it looks pretty tough. This is something I might want to see.

The film is based off of the book from Rick Riordan about a boy who learns that he is the son of the Greek God Poseidon and sets off on a journey to settle a conflict between the great gods of Olympus.

Check out the trailer and peep this film when it comes out Febuary 2010.

First Official Photos for The Karate Kid Remake or Kung Fu Kid

Yo, cuzzo. I'm back! And I bring to you the first official photos of the Kung Fu Kid starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. I'm still really skeptical about this film. I don't think that the Karate Kid needs to be remade.

Will Smith is producing the film about a kid named Dre that loves to skatebaord and play video games. He is forced to move to China when his mother has to relocate to China due to her job. Dre obviously has a hard time fitting in with everyone, because he is not from China. So like all kids that don’t fit in with their new surroundings he gets picked on and beat up by the students of Li Quan Ha’s Fighting dragon school of Kung-Fu. Mr. Han is the maintenance man who gets a look at Dre’s black eye, he then porceeds to teach him both kung-fu, and the Chinese language, so he can fight back! I’m sure it will end in some kind of tournament without the classic crane.

Peep the photos courtesy of SpoilerTV and tell me what you think. Stay up.

Movin' In Tomorrow

Yo, cuzzo. Tomorrow I leave for college so I won't have as much time to do posts like I've been doing so if my posts become a little anorexic, I apologize. I'm probably just busy. It's Alive Red Band Trailer

Yo, cuz. Here's the Red Band Trailer the new horror film, It's Alive and it looks pretty creepy. I really want to see this.

As the police frantically try to unravel the mystery, strange and frightening events begin to occur back at the house. Cocooned in blissful motherhood Lenore is unable to connect the mounting gruesome deaths piling up around her with the sweet child in her arms. As the horrifying truth becomes clear and their home becomes a house of horror, Lenore must choose between ending the life of her baby or sacrificing herself to save the family she loves.

Sylvester Stallone Talks About the Plot of Rambo 5: The Savage Hunt

Aiight, cuzzo. Here is a voice message of Sylvester Stallone revealing the plot of Rambo 5: The Savage Hunt and it sounds pretty bizarre. As you may know, the previous Rambo films involved Rambo killing a lot of people in jungle settings but it sounds like this one will go in a totally different direction. Listen to it here, Stallone Talks About Rambo 5. Tell me what you think and stay up for more buzz.

Peter Rallis Reviews 9 Summer Movies in 12 Minutes

Yo, cuzzo. Here is Peter Rallis' special review show where he reviews 9 of the summer's biggest movies in 12 minutes. He does GI Joe, District 9, Inglourious Basterds, The Goods, Halloween 2, Final Destination, 9, Sorority Row, The Gamer.

I reviewed a few of these already but I haven't been able to see them all and I thought you guys deserved to see some reviews on them. In the future, I'll try to get to the movies more to give you the reviews myself, but for now check out what Peter Rallis has to say.

We are completely on the same page about GI Joe. The visuals and dialogue were pretty bad. We disagree on District 9. The documentary style was a good touch and the deaths in Final Destination, aside from the one with the bus, were pretty good. Peep his reviews and if you like this video, check out his Youtube account,
RallsP Youtube.

Toy Story 3 Teaser Poster

Yo, cuz. Here's the teaser poster for Pixar's Toy Story 3. Like I said before, this movie has been a long time coming and I'm really excited for it.

It centers around a now 18 year old Andy, going off to college. After deciding to take just one of his childhood toys with him, Woody, and emptying the rest of his toys into a black bin bag for storage in the attic. All the toys are panicked – especially Woody, who’s worried for his friends. When Andy is distracted by his little sister and leaves the garbage bag on the landing instead of upstairs in the attic, his mother takes it out to the curb – and a frantic Woody has to save his friends from a rapidly approaching bin lorry.

This should prove to be another classic film by Pixar so peep the poster and check out the film when it comes out June 18th 2010. The trailer they showed at D23
should be online soon so look for that. Also check out Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D on October 2nd, 2009. Stay up for more buzz.

Michael Jackson's This Is It Trailer

Aiight, cuzzo. Here's the official trailer for Michael Jackson's This Is It documentary and it looks really epic. I definitely want to see this. Watching the trailer alone got me a little emotional so I know I'll enjoy this film.

This film will offer Jackson fans and music lovers worldwide a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the performer as he developed, created and rehearsed for his sold-out concerts that would have taken place beginning this summer in London’s O2 Arena. Chronicling the months from April through June, 2009, the film is produced with the full support of the Estate of Michael Jackson and drawn from more than one hundred hours of behind-the-scenes footage, featuring Jackson rehearsing a number of his songs for the show. Audiences will be given a privileged and private look at Jackson as he has never been seen before. In raw and candid detail, Michael Jackson’s This Is It captures the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, creative genius and great artist at work as he creates and perfects his final show. Kenny Ortega, who was both Michael Jackson’s creative partner and the director of the stage show is also directing the film, which is being produced by Randy Phillips, Kenny Ortega and Paul Gongaware. Executive producers are John Branca and John McClain. The film will be distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures Releasing.

All Michael fans should go see this when it comes out for two weeks only on September 27th, 2009. Check out the trailer also. Exploitation or not, this should be an enjoyable film. Stay up.

Disney is Making Moves

Yo, cuzzo. Disney is definitely making moves right now. Last month, they bought Marvel for 4 billion and now they've just been announcing all these new projects.

They have just announced that Pirates of the Caribbean 4 will be released in 2011. Johnny Depp, recently, made an appearance at Disney's D23 Convention as Jack Sparrow and premiered the official title and logo for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strangers Tides.

Disney has also confirmed that The Beatles' Yellow Submarine will be remade by Robert Zemekis in 3D. I'm a fan of the original Yellow Submarine so I'm all for this remake. It will be shot in 3D using motion capture technology and the film will include 16 licensed Beatles songs.

And finally Disney has announced that they are developing a new Muppets movie called the Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made. It is being written by Jason Segal who wrote and starred in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I am soooo excited for this! Nostalgia is in the air. I'm definitely going to see this when it comes out. Its about time they made a comeback.

It was also announced at D23 that Guillermo Del Toro is launching a animation label that will release Disney scary movies called Disney Double Dare You.This sounds pretty cool. Their first movie will be called Trollhunters. Stay up for updates on that and more buzz.

The Gadgets: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Launch Trailer

Aiight, cuz. Here the Launch Trailer for Activision's new RPG, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and its really epic. I've been waiting for this game ever since E3 so I'm really excited for this game. The first Marvel Ultimate Alliance was great so I'm definitely copping this one.

Incorporating elements of the acclaimed Marvel Civil War storyline, players must choose their side and team up to battle or interact with returning favorites and all-new characters, including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Iron Man, Deadpool, Venom, Green Goblin, Iron Fist and Captain America, whose powers can be combined to unleash astonishing new attacks.

The Marvel Civil War storyline is phenomenal. I'm surprised they haven't created a movie of some kind based on it. Hopefully they'll make somethinf for it in the near future but for now we'll just have to settle for this game. Peep the trailer courtesy of Geek Tyrant and cop the game when it comes out September 15th, 2009. Stay up.

The Gadgets: New 2D Sonic the Hedgehog Game

Yo, cuzzo. Sega has just announced that there will be a new 2D Sonic the Hedgehog game coming out in 2010. Yes, Sonic is finally returning to the Sega- like format that made the character so great.

A few 3D Sonic games have been released but none of them were on the level of the original Sega version. It will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3, but it is unknown if it will be downloadable game or retail. I'll keep you posted. Check out the new teaser trailer and tell me what you think. All true Sonic fans rejoice and stay up.

Takers Trailer

Aiight, cuzzo. Here's the official trailer for the new heist film, Takers starring Idris Elba, Chris Brown, Tip Harris, Michal Ealy and Hayden Christensen. After watching the trailer, this seems like an entertaining film and the all star cast makes it even better so I might have to see this.

This film centers on a notorious group of criminals who continue to baffle police by pulling off perfectly executed bank robberies. They are in and out like clockwork, leaving no evidence behind and laying low in between heists. But when they attempt to pull off one last job with more money at stake than ever before, the crew may find their plans interrupted by a hardened detective who is hell-bent on solving the case. Its like a mix between Heat and Set It Off.

Check out the trailer and tell me what you think. Stay up.

Adult Swim's Titan Maximum Photos

Yo, cuz. Here are some photos for Adult Swim's newest stop motion animated series, Titan Maximum from the creators of Robot Chicken, Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, and Tom Root.

The show centers around an elite squadron, who must defend Saturn’s moon Titan. The young brash pilots spaceships combine to form the giant robot Titan Maximum. Its a comedic take on classic robot cartoons like Voltron. The team has been disbanded due to budget cuts, but must hastily reassemble when a former team member turns rogue and tries to conquer the solar system with an assault of giant monsters. Now, the fate of humanity rests in the hands of

a team of dysfunctional misfits commanding a rust bucket robot.

I'm a huge fan of Robot Chicken and Seth Green so I'll definitely be tuning in to see this show. I can't wait until this airs. Check out the photos courtesy of Geek Tyrant and peep this show when it airs September 27th, 2009 at 11:30 pm. Tell me what you think and stay up for more buzz.

No Homer Simpsons Poster

Yo cuz. In light of the Simpsons entering their 21st season, they have created a series of limited-edition posters that depict 10 famous rappers "Simpsonized." From left to right: Notorious BIG, 2Pac, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, Flavor Flav, Andre 3000, Eminem, Eazy-E and Fat Joe. I'm seeing it anyway and I think true Michael Jackson fans everywhere should see it too. Check out the poster courtesy of Geek Tyrant and peep this documentary when it comes out October 28th, 2009. Stay up.

Black Dynamite Red Band Trailer

Aiight, cuzzo. Here's the Red Band Trailer of the new blaxploitation film, Black Dynamite starring Michael Jai White and Arsenio Hall. This looks hilarious! It was screened at the Sundance Film Festival and it received very positive reviews so I really want to see this. I've been following this film for some time so its great to finally see some footage.

This is a 1970's style film that follows the story of the African American action legend, Black Dynamite, the one hero willing to fight The Man.

House of the Devil Red Band Trailer

Yo, cuz. Here is the Red Band Trailer for a new horror film called The House of the Devil and from the trailer this looks like it could be a pretty good slasher film.

Set in the 1980's, this film centers around Sam, a pretty college sophomore who is so desperate to earn some cash for a deposit on an apartment that she accepts a babysitting job even after she finds out there is no baby. Mr. and Mrs. Ulman are the older couple who lure Sam out to their creeky Victorian mansion deep in the woods, just in time for a total lunar eclipse. Megan is Sam’s best friend, who gives her a ride out to the house, and reluctantly leaves her there despite suspecting that something is amiss. Victor at first seems like just a creepy guy lurking around the house, but quickly makes it clear that Sam will end this night in a bloody fight for her life.

This looks really good so peep the trailer and check out this film when it comes out October 30th 2009. Stay up.

@Aaron_Thomas “Your favorite movie theater?”
The Mann inadvertently laid the way for me moving to L.A., but I rarely go to Westwood now.

@sethzinke “favorite monty python movie?”
HOLY GRAIL, but I also love BRIAN. “Judean People’s Front? We’re the People’s Front of Judea.”

@Louieando “My mom thinks your the devil since Dogma. Can you change that?”
Show her JERSEY GIRL, then reveal it’s the same guy.

@The_Director “Pen and paper or a script writing program?”
For years, MS Word. Now, Final Draft.

@bdkreviews “best Hitchcock film?”
For me? ROPE.

@DrewPLP “What’s your favorite Kubrick movie?”
Probably THE SHINING. I know I should’ve went classier, but that flick holds up well.

@MissBrowning “It’s a sausage-fest in here! What’s your fave chick flick & why?”
JERRY MAGUIRE count? One of my all-time faves.

@redpuma “Do you think Disney will kill the amazingness of Marvel?”
They didn’t kill the amazingness of @MiramaxFilms back in the day.

Fantasio “Are you the owner of the rights of your movies?”
In 10 years, all UK rights revert back to me. In U.S., Disney owns forever.

@draven389 “Have you ever been the only person in a theater watching a movie?”
JERSEY GIRL, opening weekend. Ba-dump-bump! (*sob!*)

@MissMitsu “What graphic novel would you most want to film?”
Don’t wanna make it, but wanna see DARK KNIGHT RETURNS adaptation one day.

@pennylane726 “What is your fav John Hughes movie?”
SHE’S HAVING A BABY. Hence JERSEY GIRL. #BlameHughes!

@raeisgonnadoit “Who is your favorite comedian?”
All time? Carlin. Also: Kinison, Bill Hicks, Bill Cosby, Stephen Wright, Dennis Miller

@LAtheDJ “If you could make a sequel to any other movie (not yours) what would it be?”
GROSSE POINTE BLANK.

@chrisghatfield “On Entourage-their idea of movie hell was directed by Michael Bay and written by you -whats yours?”
Same thing, oddly.

@JasonFingerman “Godfather I or II?”
I’m a I man, myself. Like ‘em both, but like I a little more.

@Paulv15590 “What’s been your favorite film of the year so far?”
Probably UP.

@joshuamink “what is your favorite editing system?”
Avid Film Composer, hands down. I’ve cut every flick from AMY forward on an Avid.

@CinemaGoddess “Fave female directors?”
Martha Coolidge, Jane Campion, Kim Pierce, Betty Thomas (I love THE LATE SHIFT) come to mind.

@Paulv15590 “I’m a hug Adam Brody fan” Me too. “How much screentime will he have in A couple of dicks?”
Guesstimate? 39 minutes worth.

@diablocody “Do you get scared before a movie comes out?”
You, you, you – it’s ALWAYS about you, isn’t it Cody? #Jennifer’sBody That being said, I used to. ZAMMAP broke me of that nasty habit. Now I don’t care. If I dig it, I’m all good. All I can do is make’em

@valbacca “how you feel about walmart cutting out make a porno from zack & miri?”
Bummer, but it didn’t change the flick at all.

@WhinyJack “Finished writing HIT SOMEBODY or is it a work in progress?”
Haven’t started in earnest yet. Ton o’notes and last scene only

@colemancb “Zack and Miri Podcast commentary happening anytime soon?”
I’d say the one year mark’d be good, but Rogen’s busy with HORNET

@drdogbert “Whats the plan after DICKS?”
I think it’s time to HIT SOMEBODY.

@justdevin “If not A COUPLE OF DICKS what will you title the movie?”
I didn’t title it the first time. That’s up to WB/Platt/Cullens.

@qmuser “most painful thing you’ve cut from a film to please the MPAA?”
Never hadda. 3 times I flipped a rating without a single cut.

@nosajdabeno “What are the chances of Red State seeing the light of day”
Looking better lately…

@ewines “Ever think of doing direct to DVD given your success in that market? Or too much stigma attached?”
It’s a strange… stigma, considering homevideo is, largely, how movies are seen. But all that work and no theatrical? Wouldn’t feel right

@Zippio “Any chance there will be another Clerks movie??”
MAYBE when we’re all in our mid-40’s. CLERKS = 20’s. CLERKS II = 30’s.

@EckhardSperling “What is your favorite TV-Show?”
Of all-time? Probably ROSEANNE or recent BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. Currently? Not sure.

@exlander “Will there ever be a Dogma Extended Edition, with the Hell scene?”
Was working on it with Sony, but I got distracted by ZACK

@VeritasLiSaint “Mos: do you think you’ll ever co-direct/write together”
Tried to get him to codirect CLERKS. Talked RANGER DANGER, too

Comic Book Character of the Week: Lobo

In light of the announcement of his upcoming movie, this week's CBCW is no other than Lobo. Lobo is a Czarnian bounty hunter, possessing exceptional strength and fortitude. He enjoys nothing better than mindless violence and intoxication. He is also arrogant and self-centered, focusing almost solely on his own pleasures, although he proudly lives up to his word. Lobo is the last of his kind, having killed all the other Czarnians, cannot stay dead, as both Heaven and Hell threw him out.

Along with his superhuman strength and durability, he has the ability to survive unaided in space, a healing factor that heals ludicrous amounts of damage, an equally ludicrous sense of smell which allows him to
track objects between solar systems, and the ability to regrow an entire new Lobo from each drop of his own spilled blood.

Lobo has had several encounters with the likes of Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Guy Gardner and Wolverine to name a few.

Guy Ritchie
has recently announced that he will be directing a Lobo movie so look forward to seeing this anti-hero's big screen debut sometime in the near future. Stay up.

A-Team Movie Update

Yo, cuzzo. I've got a movie updates for you guys. First off, it has been announced that the role of B.A. Baracus (Mr. T) in the new A-Team movie has gone to UFC Fighter, Rampage Jackson .

He will join Bradley Cooper (The Hangover), who plays Lt. Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck and Liam Neeson (Taken) who plays Col. John ‘Hannibal’ Smith. Right now, I'm reserving judgement on this project until I see some footage. All I know is, professional wrestlers/fighters have the tendency to be horrible actors (aside from The Rock and maybe Hulk Hogan). But I must say, I'm pretty interested in seeing a fresh outlook on the A-Team franchise. Tell me what you guys think.

In other news, our latest poll shows that District 9 was the best movie of the summer and I agree. Although there were a few other stand out movies this summer, District 9 had it all, from action and tough effects to a captivating plot and good character development so it deserves to be 'Best Movie of the Summer.' And be sure to vote on the next SH Head photo. That's about it for now but stay up.

More Green Hornet Exclusive Photos

Yo, cuz. Here are some more exclusive set photos from The Green Hornet starring Seth Rogen. You actually get a look at the movie's main villain Kato and Rogen in character. I can't really judge if this is going to be good or not yet, but because Rogen is involved, I'm staying optimistic. Check 'em out courtesy of Superhero Hype and tell me what you think. Stay up.

The Final Destination Review

Aiight, cuzzo. I just peeped New Line Cinema's newest thriller, The Final Destination 3D, and I thought... it was pretty crazy. I went in expecting a fun thriller with a lot of blood and gore and that's what I got. After watching three previous movies with the same plot structure, I was no longer expecting mind-provoking plot devices, but I simply excepted it for what it was, crazy and creative death sequences. And in that department, I was very satisfied. My reaction to this quadrilogy is similar to my reaction to the Saw series. At this point, I'm numb to the plot twists so I enjoy them solely for the gadgets and traps.

Anyway, the deaths were over the top but entertaining. I mean, the ways these people
died were outta control. And the suspense was amazing. I was literally on the edge of my seat, waiting to see how these people were going to die. And the 3D took the deaths over the top! The 3D effects started out a little shaky in the beginning but they gradually hit their marks as the movie progressed. I found myself cringing more than once (and I never cringe!) so this movie succeeded in what it set out to do.

Overall, it was an entertaining movie going experience. It wasn't the movie of the summer but simply a teen thriller that did its job- keep me amused for an hour and a half. It was way better than Final Destination 3 but not as good as the first two movies. I think the series should definitely end here on a somewhat good note before people start to really resent them. I don't recommend this movie for the weak of heart but if you're a fan of bloody and gory films, check out FD3D and stay up.

The Gadgets: The Secret World Trailer

Yo, cuz. Here's the trailer for The Secret World. I've never heard of this game before now but this trailer is sick.

This game is a massively multiplayer online RPG that takes place on our earth, in our times, and yet is a tale of mythology and ancient mysteries. It takes place in world where magic exists, monsters roam and ancient forces are fighting for the dominance of earth.

Definitely check out the trailer and stay up.

Wizard of Oz, Dwayne Johnson and more

Yo, cuzzo. Here are some movies in production right now. Click on 'em for more info. The tough ones are highlighted:

Wizard of Oz remake

Cowboys and Aliens (Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr.)
Three Musketeers remake (3D)
Deadman
Tarzan remake
Tomorowland (Dwayne Johnson)

That's all the buzz for now but make sure you vote on the next SH Head Picture. I've got some tough candidates and stay up for more buzz.

The Gadgets: Halo 3: ODST Live Action Trailer

Aiight, cuzzo. Here's the live-action trailer for Halo 3:ODST and its super tough! This is hands down the best promo for the game and I would definitely cop the game from this footage alone.

It basically follows the life of an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, the elite type of soldiers that star in ODST. It's a very seamless blend of live action with CGI. Peep the trailer and cop Halo 3:ODST when it comes out September 22nd, 2009. Stay up.

New Pandorum Clip

Yo, cuzzo. Here's an exclusive clip from the new sci-fi horror, Pandorum, and I think this movie could be pretty intense.

Its centers around two crewmen who awaken from hyper-sleep aboard a spacecraft. None of their equipment is working, and their memories are incomplete. As they try to piece things together, they discover they are not alone, and the ship’s new inhabitants – tribal warriors carrying crudely made weapons – are moving among them, intent on killing all aboard.

This clip actually gives you a look at the monsters and they look sick. Peep the trailer and tell me what you think.

The Gadgets: Assasin's Creed II Trailer

Aiight, cuz. Here's the official trailer for Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed II: Visions of Venice and it looks pretty cool. It reminds me a little of the Prince of Persia games. I especially like the music in the background.

I haven't played the first Assassin's Creed but I have been meaning to. I really have to get on top of that after seeing this trailer. What do you guys think? Peep it and cop the game. Stay up.

The Gadgets: Messenjah Matt

Yo, cuzzo. Let me introduce y'all to my man Messenjah Matt. He makes fan made NBA 2K trailers and videos and he is dumb tough!! I mean he's just amazing. I've been a fan of this dude's Youtube videos since he was doing 2K8 and he just recently released his last and final 2K9 video for the 2K10 upgrade.

He mainly does projects of Michael Jordan and the '96 Chicago Bulls. He even designed the Jordan NBA 2K9 game cover on the right in the G.O.A.T section. He's a beast! Once I get my degree, I hope I'm as talented as he is. Here are a few of his videos. Tell me what you think. Subscribe to him on Youtube and check out his website. post-apocalyptic thriller of a journey taken by a father and his young son across a barren landscape that was blasted by an unnamed cataclysm that destroyed civilization and most life on earth. Then they encounter dangerous bandits and must fight for their survival.

Confucius Teaser Trailer

Yo, cuz. Here's the teaser trailer for the new biopic, Confucius, starring Chow Yun-Fat and I have to say it looks pretty interesting. I usually only watch Chow Yun-Fat when he's either punching or kicking someone in the face but I might have to see this.

Its based on the true story of Confucius, a Chinese thinker and social philosopher, whose teachings and philosophy have deeply influenced Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese and Vietnamese thought and life. Confucius’ thoughts have been developed into a system of philosophy known as Confucianism.

Check out the trailer and peep the movie when it hits theatres in the US on November 16th, 2009. Thats about it but stay up.
